Job Description:
Two powerful plays that celebrate the richness of Black theatre are now seeking talented and passionate actors. The productions include August Wilson’s Jitney and To Be Young, Gifted, and Black, adapted from the works of Lorraine Hansberry. Both productions will be directed by Rachel Finley and offer performers the opportunity to share meaningful stories that have shaped generations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform in live stage productions with emotional depth and authenticity.

• Collaborate closely with the director and cast to deliver strong ensemble performances.

• Participate in rehearsals, script readings, and stage blocking sessions.

Job Responsibilities

• Izzy (27–33): Becca’s impulsive and outspoken younger sister. Free-spirited, playful, yet caring.

• Howie (35–45): Becca’s husband, trying to hold their marriage together despite heartbreak. Grounded, patient, and affectionate.

• Nat (60s): Becca and Izzy’s mother, wise and outspoken, using humor to cope with her own grief.

• Jason (16–18): A teenage boy seeking redemption after the tragic accident that changed their lives. Sincere and remorseful.
