Job Description

NBC Sports is looking for an experienced Manager, Editorial Content to work in a fast-paced, collaborative creative environment, supporting multiple content creation teams across both digital and linear platforms.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of digital writers and other editorial team personnel
• Demonstrate strong editorial judgment when working with writers in both the content planning and execution process; provide feedback both in-the-moment and longer term to ensure work is editorially sound
• Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to create content plans in line with business priorities
• Create original written content
• Help connect content to other relevant platforms for optimization purposes

Basic Qualifications

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in sports content creation on a local or national level
• 4-year college degree
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Characteristics

• Well-rounded sports knowledge including NFL, College Football, NBA, Motorsports, from both a conventional and fantasy sports perspective
• Excellent team player
• Ability to proactively pivot as situations warrant
• Experience with content management systems a plus
