Job Description

X Horn Productions is casting for a non-union micro-budget comedy feature film titled Letty & Jack Want Out. The story follows Letty, a young woman stuck in a relationship she can’t afford to leave, and Jack, a recent college graduate tangled in shady dealings. Both must confront the consequences of their choices as they seek a way to turn their lives around.

We are seeking actors for lead and supporting roles to be part of this engaging, character-driven film shooting in and around the Austin, Texas area. This is a great opportunity for passionate performers looking to gain feature film experience and be part of an independent production.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray assigned character roles authentically and professionally.

• Attend rehearsals and all scheduled shoot days.

• Collaborate effectively with the director, crew, and fellow cast members.

• Maintain professionalism and commitment throughout the filming process.

• Be punctual, prepared, and open to direction during production.

Requirements

• Union Status: Non-Union

• Acting experience in film, theater, or similar media preferred.

• Ability to memorize lines, embody character depth, and deliver emotionally truthful performances.

• Austin locals are preferred (no travel or lodging provided).

• Open to portraying one of the following roles:

  • Letty (Lead): Mid-20s, hardworking yet impulsive woman stuck in a relationship and longing for independence.

  • Jack (Lead): Mid-20s, recent graduate involved in shady work, seeking a way out.

  • Otto (Supporting): Mid-20s, Jack’s manipulative friend who drags him into trouble.

  • Monte (Supporting): Mid-50s, intimidating and controlling boss figure.

  • Caroline, Eric, Gomez, Carlo — Additional supporting roles available.

Compensation Details

• Rate: $125 per day, per role

• Duration: 11 filming days

• Additional Benefits: IMDb credit and feature film footage for portfolio use
