Job Description
A non-union short film is now casting multiple roles for an upcoming production scheduled to film in late March 2026. The story follows Riley, a well-meaning but inexperienced young man navigating financial struggles after losing his warehouse job. Faced with mounting pressures, including wedding expenses and cash flow issues, he embarks on a risky venture involving the sale of $10,000 worth of Twinkies—setting off a chain of comedic and dramatic events.

The film blends humor, character-driven storytelling, and small-town dynamics, offering strong speaking roles and supporting opportunities for emerging actors.

Roles Being Cast

Riley – Main Character (Male, 20–25)
A determined but inexperienced young man trying to better his world. After being laid off, he takes a risky business gamble to solve his financial problems.

Poppy – Riley’s Girlfriend (Female, 20–28)
A natural leader and problem-solver. Confident, grounded, and someone Riley depends on. Strong emotional presence required.

Franco – Buyer of Twinkies (Male, Late 20s to Early 30s)
A self-proclaimed small-town gangster. Impulsive, intense, and eccentric. Runs various small food ventures, including his “Deep Fried Twinkies.”

Marco – Riley’s Work Buddy (Male, Late 20s to Early 30s)
Calm and supportive. Still working at the warehouse and offers Riley grounded advice during his financial struggles.

Wasp Mom (Female, Late 20s to Early 30s)
A “Karen-type” character. Confrontational mother who discovers the Twinkie business in a parking lot.

Guard #1 and Guard #2 (Open Age Range)
Muscular build with an intimidating presence. Serve as bodyguards to Franco.

Girl Scout (Female, 10–13 years old)
Daughter of Wasp Mom. Part of a troop selling cookies in the same area as Riley’s business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform scripted scenes for a short film production

  • Attend rehearsals and scheduled shoot days

  • Deliver strong comedic and dramatic performances

  • Collaborate with cast and crew in a professional environment

Requirements

  • Non-union talent

  • Ability to portray dynamic, character-driven roles

  • Submit headshots and resume/reel

  • Available for late March production schedule
