Job Description:
An established Australian author of Regency romance novels is seeking a talented female audiobook narrator to bring her stories to life. With over 20 books in print, this project marks an expansion into audiobook production, offering opportunities for ongoing collaboration across multiple titles in the historical romance genre.
Job Responsibilities:
- Narrate full-length novels ranging from 70,000 to 90,000 words
- Deliver clear, engaging, and expressive voice performances
- Capture character depth, tone, and emotional nuance in narration
- Record high-quality audio using professional equipment or studio access
- Collaborate with the author/production team to meet audiobook standards
Requirements:
- Adult female voice actor or narrator
- British or Regency-style accent strongly preferred
- Warm, engaging, and expressive vocal tone
- Access to a professional home studio or quality recording environment
- Experience in audiobook or long-form narration preferred (not required)
Compensation:
- Paid per finished hour (PFH), rate negotiable based on experience
- Royalty share options available for selected candidates
- Potential for ongoing work across multiple audiobook projects
