Job Description

Versa Films is casting performers for a series of coming-of-age vignettes in an upcoming music video for a Saskatoon artist. The project explores themes of freedom, rebellion, friendship, and youthful adventure through cinematic slow-motion sequences featuring children, teenagers, and young adults.

This non-union production welcomes both actors and non-actors and is seeking talent for a variety of featured roles portraying memorable moments from adolescence and young adulthood.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray featured characters in scripted music video scenes.
• Follow creative direction from the director and production team.
• Participate in age-appropriate action sequences and group activities.
• Collaborate with fellow performers during filming.
• Maintain professionalism and reliability throughout production.

Requirements

Skateboarder Teens

• Any gender.
• Any ethnicity.
• Ages 15–23.
• Comfortable skateboarding and performing action-oriented scenes.

Kids on Bikes

• Any gender.
• Any ethnicity.
• Ages 9–13.
• Comfortable riding bicycles.

Water Balloon Kids

• Any gender.
• Any ethnicity.
• Ages 9–13.
• Comfortable participating in outdoor group scenes.

Jump Rope and Hopscotch Kids

• Any gender.
• Any ethnicity.
• Ages 9–12.
• Comfortable participating in playground-style activities.

Prankster Pre-Teens

• Any gender.
• Any ethnicity.
• Ages 12–15.
• Energetic personality and comfortable performing playful scenes.

Wrestling Siblings

• Any gender.
• Any ethnicity.
• Ages 14–18.
• Two performers able to portray siblings.

Kissing Couple

• Any gender.
• Any ethnicity.
• Ages 19–23.
• Comfortable performing scenes involving kissing and sharing a cigarette prop.

Compensation Details

• Pay: $50 per actor
• Time commitment: 60–90 minutes per role
• Non-union production.
• Non-actors are encouraged to apply.
