Job Description
A 10-minute student film is casting young actresses to portray the main characters in “flashback” scenes for a heartfelt coming-of-age story. The project follows the memories of two women who were childhood best friends, drifted apart, and eventually find romance while facing a fearful night together.
This is a SAG-AFTRA Micro-Budget Project that will meet all union requirements. While these roles are unpaid, selected performers will receive food on set and a digital copy of the film for their reel.
Job Responsibilities

Portray younger versions of the film’s lead characters in flashback sequences

Participate in on-location filming in residential and outdoor settings

Take direction from the student filmmaker and production team

For teen roles, perform an intimate scene that includes a kiss (no nudity and no additional physical contact)
Roles
1955 Timeline:

Young Alex (Age 9): Petite; much shorter than Chris. May be portrayed by a slightly younger actor.

Young Chris (Age 9): Taller than Alex; may be portrayed by an older actress who can believably play younger.
1959 Timeline:

Preteen Alex (Age 13): Petite; may be played by an actress as young as 11.

Preteen Chris (Age 13): Taller than Alex; may be played by a teen who appears younger.
1964–1968 Timeline:

Teen Alex (Age 18–20): Actress must be over 18; early 20s acceptable.

Teen Chris (Age 18–20): Actress must be over 18; early 20s acceptable.
Requirements

Open to young actresses who fit the listed age ranges

Parent or guardian must be present at all times for minors

Teen roles require performers over 18

Comfortable performing a scripted kiss (teen roles only)
