Universal Production Music (UPM) is seeking a Sr. Creative Manager, Marketing (SCMM), based in Santa Monica, CA, to support the UPM marketing team in driving key digital initiatives across various brand channels and projects from concept ideation through final delivery in support of integrated marketing campaigns and business objectives.

How we LEAD:

This individual will be joining the Marketing team at a very exciting time as we re-evaluate our content and messaging strategies and revamp our creative outputs. They will play a key role in establishing our look and feel for everything from social media to website creative; and help us develop a fresh outlook in promoting the UPM brand.

How you’ll CREATE:

  • Utilizes Adobe Creative Cloud apps to create, organize and manage marketing materials including but not limited to:
  • Social media-focused creative: statics, carousels, short-form video
  • One sheets and proposal templates for sales
  • Creative to be featured on the company’s website: playlist/genre/mood/campaign headers
  • Email template design
  • Presentation templates
  • Minor graphic design for physical items such as SWAG and signage for in-person events, expos, and conferences as needed
  • Works closely with Digital Marketing Coordinator to plan out social media calendar- driving the creative strategy and out-of-the-box concepts and designs
  • Works with the sales team to create custom proposals, presentations, and ancillary pitch content as needed
  • Collaborates with the Head of US Marketing to develop mood boards, templates, and creative vision for campaign or product launches
  • Liaise with our International Marketing team based in the UK to ensure our marketing reflects brand guidelines and is in line with the company’s overall marketing efforts
  • With guidance from the Head of US Marketing, develops ad-creative for paid placements including: LinkedIn, YouTube, Google, and third-party websites
  • Collaborates with the Marketing Manager on promotional strategy and creative digital materials for New Releases, artist features, BTS, and other Production-related content
  • Develops new and creative ways for UPM to feature recent placements
  • Frequently assesses top competitor digital organic and paid campaigns and reviews findings with Marketing team
  • Stays on top of digital advertising trends and is always in the know of the latest media developments
  • Other requests by management as needed

Bring your VIBE:

  • 4+ years’ experience in creative marketing and developing 360 campaigns with a heavy focus on digital content
  • Power user of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro
  • Proficient knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn
  • Team player – it is critical for this individual to collaborate with the entire team, and also possess great interdepartmental communication skills
  • Must have a portfolio showcasing past design work (primarily digital, but print design also preferred)
  • Passionate about music and entertainment in general
  • Connected to pop culture trends and new viral phenomena
  • Great time management, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in maintaining corporate and/or entertainment websites using content management software and familiarity with web design and publishing (Sitecore, WordPress a plus).
  • Proactive attitude and ability to anticipate needs are a plus as well as resourcefulness
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills, with ability to multitask
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or marketing, or related field preferred but not required

How We LEAD:

The Manager, Audience Growth at Universal Music Latin America will be responsible of developing global marketing strategies and campaigns for Latin Artists. The position will report to the Director of Audience Growth, and will be based in Miami Beach, FL.

How You’ll CREATE:

  • Oversee digital marketing investments in the region
  • Devise eCRM lifecycle programs to support signups and interactions on artist and label databases
  • Drive the creation and optimization of streaming marketing products to maximize streams throughout the Latin region.
  • Oversee e-commerce project execution and manage communication between countries for local online stores throughout the region
  • Work with repertoire owners and countries to optimize label’s owned properties such as label profiles, artist profiles, playlists, etc.
  • Work with repertoire owners to develop unique and innovative “always-on” content strategies specific to each platform and artist to grow digital consumption and audience.
  • Work with local and regional teams to conduct and analyze A/B tests, measure ROI, and define KPIs to improve performance.
  • Prepare performance analysis, campaigns recaps and share best practices about the platforms with the marketing and artist teams.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects based on business evolution and necessities.

Bring Your VIBE:

  • 3+ years of digital marketing experience, with understanding of all different facets (advertising, analytics, social media, eCRM, SEO, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to organize and analyze data and draw actionable conclusions

Capitol Music Group is seeking a Director of Media Planning Strategy to lead Capitol Records, Blue Note, Astralwerks, Motown Records, and Harvest frontline and catalog repertoire on a global scale. The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about the ever-changing media landscape and about MUSIC! We are looking for someone who is highly knowledgeable on all digital media outlets including paid search, social, programmatic, display, video, mobile as well as emerging media and new technology platforms.

How you’ll CREATE:

  • Lead a small team of media planners and collaborate with media buying support to plan and execute all paid media efforts, including media planning, reporting and analysis, best practices, and ensuring teams are aligned on KPIs.
  • Work with label finance and UMG central teams to ensure monthly billing is completed
  • Optimize internal operational workflows, build scalable strategies, share best practices and learnings
  • Work with internal stakeholders (Digital Marketing team) to develop and plan paid media campaigns across social, video and programmatic platforms
  • Identify target audiences and analyze their characteristics, behaviors, and media habits
  • Build custom audiences and data sets for targeting in DSP’s
  • Manage and track approved media budgets
  • Research trends, innovations, and changes that effect media buying
  • Implement test initiatives such as landing page, A/B testing, multivariate testing, offer testing, etc.
  • Provide recommendations on landing pages, websites, and overall user experience to optimize paid conversions
  • Understand pixel implementation on websites for data collection and conversion tracking

Bring your VIBE:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications preferred
  • 3-5 years media-related/agency experience and media planning/buying; traditional media buying (TV, Radio, Print & OOH) and entertainment industry experience a big plus.
  • Experience leading a small team
  • Confidence in written and verbal communication skills in client-facing environment
  • Experience buying through Facebook, Google AdWords, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat and other DSPs
  • Understanding of Google Shopping Campaigns, Facebook Catalog Manager, and Shopify
  • Proficiency in Keynote, Word, Excel and PowerPoint with ability to build compelling reports detailing campaign successes, ROI and learnings.
  • Experience with DoubleClick, Google Analytics, Datorama, Linkfire, Shareablee
  • Experience driving eCommerce revenue growth and online lead generation with paid media
