CASTING CALL: STUDENT SHORT FILM

Role: Ayla

Description: POC in her 20s. Ayla is a vibrant and inquisitive individual. Many perceive her as naive due to her inability to grasp the unrealistic expectations society places on her. However, this very trait empowers her with unparalleled ambition, as she doesn’t view societal limitations as concrete boundaries. Ayla’s bright-eyed and impressionable nature is counterbalanced by a distinct moral compass, allowing her to scrutinize and challenge the flawed system she finds herself within.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Person of Color (POC) in their 20s.
  • Ability to convey complex emotions and challenge traditional norms.
  • Headshots are required for consideration.

Production Details:

  • Type: Student short film
  • Union Status: Non-Union
  • Compensation: Talent will receive a copy of the final film, credit for their role, and meals during shooting.
  • Shooting Dates: 8th – 9th September, 8 am – 8 pm
  • Location: UCLA
  • Casting Dates: 2nd – 3rd September
