Job Description

A non-union psychological horror short film is casting lead and supporting actors for Modernity, a proof-of-concept narrative filming in Owensboro, Kentucky. The story follows a doctoral student researching paganism whose search for hidden truths awakens terrifying ancient forces, blurring the line between curiosity and obsession.

This paid, low-budget production offers actors the opportunity to work on a character-driven horror film with festival ambitions. Meals, a copy of the completed film, and potential lodging assistance will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray a principal or supporting character in a psychological horror film.
• Deliver emotionally authentic and dramatic performances.
• Attend rehearsals, auditions, and scheduled filming dates.
• Collaborate with the director and production team.
• Maintain professionalism throughout production.
