Job Description
A new drama-romance feature film, Worth the Weight: A Love Like No Other, is casting talented actors for lead and supporting roles. The film explores themes of self-love, resilience, acceptance, and relationships beyond societal expectations. Production is committed to authentic, inclusive storytelling and welcomes performers from diverse backgrounds, body types, ethnicities, genders, and abilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform in a feature-length drama/romance film.
- Portray emotionally authentic and compelling characters.
- Collaborate with the director and production team throughout filming.
- Attend scheduled rehearsals and production dates if selected.
- Submit the required audition materials for consideration.
Requirements
- Casting lead and supporting roles for children and adults.
- Principal roles include:
- Anisa: Female, 25–35, plus-size woman with warmth, intelligence, and resilience. African American or Islander.
- Terry: Male, 25–35, charismatic and emotionally layered. African American.
- Zahair: Male, 25–35, grounded, emotionally open, and spiritually driven. African American.
- Iya: Female, 50–55, wise, open-minded, and creative. African American or Islander.
- Monique “Mo”: Female, 25–35, outgoing, humorous, and confident. All ethnicities encouraged.
- Supporting roles include children and adults of various ages and backgrounds.
- Submit a headshot.
- Resume, demo reel, or self-tape is preferred if available.

Compensation
