Job Description

The Dinner Detective, America’s largest murder mystery dinner show, is seeking performers for paid acting opportunities. The production is looking for actors, improvisers, performers, and stand-up comedians to join its touring entertainment company. Selected talent will participate in interactive live performances that combine comedy, improvisation, and mystery entertainment for audiences.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform in live murder mystery dinner theater productions.
• Interact with audience members in an engaging and entertaining manner.
• Improvise and adapt to live performance situations.
• Portray a variety of characters throughout the show.
• Collaborate with fellow performers and production staff.
• Attend rehearsals and scheduled performances as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Actors, performers, improvisers, and stand-up comedians are encouraged to apply.
• Strong improvisational and comedic skills preferred.
• Especially seeking performers who can portray characters age 35 and older.
• All ethnicities are encouraged to audition.
• Must submit a recent photo and résumé for consideration.

The interactive show seeks actors, comedians, and improvisers to join its rotating company. All roles are paid, with flexible scheduling based on monthly availability, offering a unique opportunity in interactive entertainment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform in an interactive, improvisational murder mystery comedy show for a live audience.

• Portray various characters and engage directly with guests while staying in character.

• Attend rehearsals and collaborate with the ensemble cast.

• Be available for scheduled performances, which are booked one month at a time.

Requirements

• Based in or able to commute to the Long Island/Glen Cove area.

• Strong improvisational skills are highly preferred.

• Performers who can portray characters aged 35+ are especially needed.
