A groundbreaking BBC Feature Film is seeking Deaf and hard-of-hearing talent for lead roles in an upcoming production. No prior acting experience is necessary—just a passion for storytelling and authentic representation. This project, led by a Deaf artist and writer, aims to bring genuine representation to the screen.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform in a feature film that highlights Deaf culture and representation.
  • Work closely with the production team to bring authenticity to the roles.
  • Collaborate with fellow cast members and directors to create a compelling narrative.

Requirements

  • Deaf or hard-of-hearing actors.
  • Fluent in British Sign Language (BSL) for adult roles.
  • Open to individuals with no prior acting experience.
  • Must be available for filming in Greater London.

Roles Available

  • Deaf man (30s-50s) – Fluent signer.
  • Deaf woman (20-55) – Fluent signer.
  • Deaf boy (7-9) – No signing experience required.

Compensation

  • Paid roles.
  • Full BSL access and accommodations provided.
