Our privately held, family owned and operated company has been decorating apparel and products in Louisville, KY for 35 years. Our team, which since the beginning has been a home for our refugee community, consists of over 100 people representing 10 different countries and 5 different languages. Through the years this multi-generational, multicultural team has been united by our core values and continuously improved through diversity of thought.

 

Responsibilities

  • Distribute jobs and oversee each artist’s schedule to ensure all tasks can be completed within the time allowed and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Train all internal and outsourced staff as needed.
  • Review proofs created by team to ensure all customer specifications are followed correctly.
  • Identify any possible issues that might arise from artwork proofs during the production process and request adjustments.
  • Know all decoration method requirements and limitations.
  • Identify and help resolve issues that arise during the production process.
  • Develop strategy for scaling the art department to meet the demands of company growth.
  • Stay up to date with industry decoration techniques and best practices and trends in the industry.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects. 
  • Manage artwork data entry onto workorders.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Ability to understand and follow complex instructions.
  • Ability to manage projects, organize, multi-task, plan and prioritize daily tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and be highly motivated.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in graphic design.
  • Graphic design experience required.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Design Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop required.
  • Production art experience preferred.
