Casting Call for “The Mysterious Tadpole”

Job Details: We are seeking a talented young actor to play the role of Akiva in a short scene for “The Mysterious Tadpole,” which will serve as a proof of concept for an upcoming feature film set to shoot in 2024. This is a unique opportunity for a child actor to participate in a project that combines elements of comedy with cultural themes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portray the character Akiva, a 12-year-old orthodox Jewish boy with a flair for comedy, a passion for hip hop, and a love for cooking.
  • Collaborate with the director and fellow cast members to bring the character to life in a way that resonates with audiences.
  • Participate in rehearsals as scheduled, which will require learning and delivering lines, following direction, and contributing to the creative process.
  • Be prepared for costume fittings and any other pre-production requirements.

Requirements:

  • Male actor, 12 years old (or can convincingly play a 12-year-old).
  • Must have a robust build – not skinny.
  • Must exhibit a good sense of humor and have the ability to deliver lines with comedic timing.
  • Interest or experience in hip hop and cooking is highly desirable.
  • Must be an orthodox Jewish or have a strong understanding of orthodox Jewish culture.
  • Must be a local hire in Los Angeles, CA. No relocation or travel expenses will be covered.

Compensation Details:

  • Competitive pay rate commensurate with experience and industry standards.
