Job Description
A non-union historical biopic docu-drama is casting female lead actors for a powerful story set during the 1918 influenza pandemic. The project follows Elizabeth “Beth” Smellie, a public health nurse whose experiences reshape her life and legacy. This production will blend dramatized scenes with archival footage, photographs, and sound design to bring an important chapter of history to the screen. Filming is planned in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Job Responsibilities

Perform as a lead character in a scripted historical docu-drama

Bring authenticity and emotional depth to period storytelling

Collaborate with the director and production team on blocking and continuity

Participate in scenes that may include archival-inspired recreations and documentary-style moments
