Job Description

An independent faith-based feature film titled New Life is currently casting a 2nd Assistant Director / Production Coordinator to join the production team. This coming-of-age drama tells the story of Peter, a college freshman grappling with identity and purpose after a painful breakup leads him to question his Christian upbringing. The film is a raw and authentic exploration of faith, doubt, and personal transformation.

This is a micro-budget, self-funded project that offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring filmmakers to gain valuable on-set experience while collaborating with passionate, like-minded creatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the 1st Assistant Director in coordinating daily shoot schedules

• Manage communication across departments

• Support the crew in logistical planning and execution

• Maintain a productive and positive set environment

• Participate in all production days throughout the 10-day shoot

Requirements

• No prior production experience required, but candidates should:

  • Be fast learners

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Work well under pressure and in dynamic environments

  • Show genuine interest in film production and storytelling

Compensation

• This is an unpaid role (self-funded production), but selected talent will receive:

  • Screen credit

  • On-set meals

  • Lodging/housing accommodations for the full duration of the shoot
