Job Description
Red Door Productions is casting actors for an off-off Broadway production of The Children’s Hour by Lillian Hellman. Set in 1934, this powerful play explores themes of rumor, reputation, and the societal pressures placed on women. The production will take place in New York’s West Village and offers actors the opportunity to perform in a thought-provoking and emotionally rich stage production.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform in a live stage production of The Children’s Hour
- Attend rehearsals and collaborate with the director and cast
- Deliver strong, emotionally driven performances
- Participate in self-tape auditions and callbacks if selected
- Maintain professionalism throughout the rehearsal and performance process
Requirements
- Open to actors of all ethnicities
- Must be able to perform with a Northeastern American accent
- Strong acting ability and stage presence
- Must be available for rehearsals and performances in New York
- Ability to prepare and submit a 1–2 minute contemporary monologue
