Casting Call: Administrative Assistant Role

Job Detail: Pearson Casting is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our vibrant team in the London office from April 15th until at least May 31st, 2024, with potential for extension. This is a fixed-term, full-time role, pivotal to our operations with the theatre sector.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to actors, agents, and colleagues.
  • Coordinating several international projects concurrently.
  • Facilitating in-person auditions and managing related logistics.
  • Maintaining well-organized files and systems, ensuring seamless administrative flows.
  • Operating independently and within a team to meet the organization’s objectives.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of UK musical theatre actors, agents, and colleges.
  • Previous administrative experience is essential; adeptness with Mac systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Must possess a Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) number and be registered as self-employed.

Casting Call: Cast Member for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Starlight Express”

Job Detail: Join the electrifying cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Starlight Express”! We are currently on the lookout for the final few uniquely talented individuals to complete our team. This is an opportunity to skate into the spotlight and show off your skills on the world stage.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform as a cast member in various roles throughout the production of “Starlight Express”.
  • Attend all rehearsals and costume fittings as scheduled.
  • Engage in promotional activities, including photo shoots and media events, as required.
  • Collaborate with the director, choreographer, and fellow cast members to ensure a high-quality performance.
  • Maintain the integrity of the performance by consistent practice and adherence to the director’s vision.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed during rehearsals and performances.

Requirements:

  • Skilled in quad skating, inline skating, or scooter riding.
  • Ability to perform complex routines and have a flair for theatrics.
  • Willingness to commit to a minimum of one year’s exclusive performance contract starting April 22nd, 2024.
  • Open to applicants of all backgrounds, with a special invitation to those currently underrepresented in our workforce.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and professionalism.
  • Experience in stage performance is preferred, but not mandatory for exceptional talents.
  • Physical fitness to perform high-energy routines is essential.

Job Description: We invite experienced actors to audition for the ongoing West End run of “Operation Mincemeat” at The Fortune Theatre. This high-energy, character-driven comedy seeks talented individuals who excel in acting, singing, and dance (triple-threat), with a particular emphasis on strong comedic skills. The production values diversity and inclusivity, opening its doors wide to performers of all identities.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a strong comedic performance with the ability to handle multiple roles.
  • Exhibit excellent vocal skills and compelling stage presence.
  • Demonstrate highly competent movement and dance skills, quickly mastering choreography.
  • Employ various accents authentically, with rapping ability as an added advantage.
  • Participate in all rehearsals and performances as scheduled.
  • Collaborate effectively with the ensemble and production team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in comedy acting, preferably with improvisation and multi-role background.
