Job Description
A casting call is now open for two professional contemporary dancers to star in The Sound of Salvation, a narrative dance short film filming in Toronto this August. The film explores the triumphant love story between two young men, August and Ellis, through expressive movement and powerful storytelling. Casting directors are seeking talented dancers who can deliver emotionally compelling performances in a cinematic setting.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform as one of the lead characters in a narrative dance short film.
- Collaborate with the director and choreographer throughout rehearsals and filming.
- Convey emotion and character through contemporary dance and movement.
- Participate in rehearsals and scheduled production days.
- Work professionally with the cast and creative team.
Requirements
- Professional contemporary dancers.
- Male-presenting performers who can play ages 18–25.
- Open to all ethnicities.
- Trans masculine and non-binary performers who are comfortable portraying a masculine character are encouraged to apply.
- Strong contemporary dance technique and expressive performance skills.
- Must be available to film in Toronto during August.
