Job Description

The SAG Ultra Low Budget short film Running Lines is casting two lead roles for an upcoming production filming in New Jersey. The project is open to union and non-union performers, with travel provided and paid roles available.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray one of the film’s lead characters.
• Deliver emotionally authentic performances.
• Participate in rehearsals and filming as scheduled.
• Submit a self-tape audition for consideration.

Requirements

• Sean Chen: Chinese American male-presenting, ages 18–23, playing 16; earnest, artistic, passionate, and lanky. Genderqueer/nonbinary performers preferred. Shakespeare experience encouraged but not required.
• Jenny Chen: Chinese American female, 40s–50s; former stage actress. Native English speakers preferred. Shakespeare experience strongly encouraged.
• Open to union and non-union actors.

Compensation

• $249 per day.
• Travel provided.
• SAG Ultra Low Budget production.
