This compelling project is seeking actors to portray complex characters who navigate a society bound by control and secrecy. With strong themes of identity and resistance, the film presents an opportunity for actors to showcase depth and subtlety in performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray emotionally layered characters with clarity and restraint

• Collaborate closely with the director to bring grounded, nuanced performances

• Engage in rehearsals and shoot days with professionalism and adaptability

• Deliver strong non-verbal presence, especially in roles with limited dialogue

• Participate in any required in-person auditions or callbacks

Requirements

• All talent must be local to Charlotte, NC or work as a local hire

• Lead Roles:

  • Dolion – Male, 17–18 (must be 18+ to play younger): perceptive, quietly courageous, seeking forbidden connection

  • Peter – Male, 17–18 (must be 18+ to play younger): kind, soft-spoken, slight limp, longs to be seen for his heart

• Featured & Supporting Roles:

  • President – Male, 40–70: powerful, silent figurehead, strong presence

  • Guard – Male, 25–50: enforces rules rigidly, no-nonsense demeanor

  • Man at the Feast – Male, 30–60: entitled, part of an elite selection ritual

  • Mill Woman – Female, 30–60: indoctrinated, authoritative, delivers intense performance during a key scene

Compensation

• Lead roles: $125/day plus 10%

• Supporting and featured roles: $50/day (single day shoot)

• Professional work environment with character-driven storytelling
