I’m Jax Burke, a member of CSA with over 7 years of casting expertis, specializing in finding real people, businesses, actors, and extras for both SAG and non-union projects that truly captivate audiences. My passion for the craft shines brightest when tackling those tricky 'needle in the haystack' projects, where every detail matters. On my Instagram page, @jax_is_casting, I share not only casting calls but also the tips I’ve picked up throughout my career. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of casting for more than 250 high-profile brand campaigns across the nation and internationally. My clients include Apple, Disney, Uber, Under Armour, Gap, Facebook, and many others. I’ve also served as a 2nd AD on the short film 'Cherry Pie' and as a Production Manager for the Emmy award-winning travel show ‘Unchartered Adventure’ (S2E1). Additionally, I’ve produced over 1,200 short-form documentaries and corporate videos for esteemed clients like the Clinton Global Initiative, (RED), Stanford, Microsoft, and Patagonia. I’m a firm believer in the power of storytelling. As a documentary producer, I’m always humbled by the trust people place in me when they share their stories. As a casting director, I thrive on collaborating with directors to uncover and showcase the unique narratives of each person and family we work with. It’s a privilege I hold dear. Lately, I’ve been finding the balance between my work and home life since becoming a mom in March 2023. While I’ve had many adventures, including karaoke on six continents, I can honestly say that this is the best one yet. I founded JQ Productions out of a deep desire for autonomy and the ability to choose meaningful work. My journey began with a leap of faith into the unknown, realizing that success isn't just about financial gain but about the impact we have on the world and the people we work with. As I set forth on this path, I embraced the uncertainty, driven by a vision of building a team that shares my values of kindness, dedication, and self-improvement. Today, I take immense pride in the diverse talents and experiences my team of freelancers brings to the table.
