Multilingual Actors for Short Video Series

Job Description: We seek talented actors fluent in the following languages for an engaging short video series. The project aims to celebrate and promote the diverse linguistic heritage of indigenous communities. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a culturally significant production.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portray authentic characters in a series of six short videos.
  • Deliver lines fluently in the designated languages (Algonquin, Western Ojibwa, Plains Cree, Michif, Inuktitut South Baffin, Mi’ikma).
  • Collaborate effectively with the production team and fellow cast members.
  • Embody the spirit and cultural nuances of each respective language.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in one or more languages: Algonquin, Western Ojibwa (Nakawémowin), Plains Cree, Michif, Inuktitut South Baffin, Mi’ikma.
  • Demonstrated acting experience, preferably in film or video projects.
  • Ability to embody characters authentically and convey emotions convincingly.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Cultural sensitivity and respect for the heritage and traditions of the represented communities.

Compensation:

  • Payment will be commensurate with industry standards and experience.
  • Travel and accommodation expenses, if applicable, will be covered by the production team.
  • Meals and refreshments will be provided during filming.
