Job Description
A faith-based short film titled Anxiety is seeking experienced crew members for a paid one-day production in Philadelphia. The film follows a college student who experiences a panic attack at a house party and navigates the experience through a spiritual encounter sparked by a Bible verse.
The project is an experimental short film that will use creative lighting, color, and visual storytelling techniques to explore themes of anxiety, faith, and personal transformation. Production is seeking passionate professionals who are excited about the story and committed to helping create a festival-quality film.
Job Responsibilities
Co-Director
- Collaborate on creative and production decisions.
- Assist with directing cast and overseeing production execution.
- Help maintain the project’s artistic vision.
Cinematographer / Director of Photography
- Capture cinematic visuals aligned with the film’s visual style.
- Collaborate with the director on camera movement, framing, and lighting.
- Execute creative visual concepts throughout production.
Boom Operator
- Capture clean production audio during filming.
- Assist the sound department with microphone placement and monitoring.
- Maintain audio quality throughout the shoot.
Gaffer
- Design and execute lighting setups.
- Support the visual style through creative lighting techniques.
- Collaborate with the cinematographer and director to achieve the desired mood.
Requirements
- Previous professional experience in the department being applied for.
- Resume and examples of previous work required.
- Passion for independent filmmaking and collaborative production environments.
- Ability to work efficiently on a one-day shoot.
- Experience with creative lighting and color-based visual storytelling is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Interest in faith-based storytelling and the film’s subject matter.
Compensation Details
- Co-Director: $150
- Cinematographer / Director of Photography: $150
- Boom Operator: $100
- Gaffer: $100
- IMDb credit provided.
- Meals provided during production.
