Requirements:

• Caucasian male, aged 25-35.
• Height between 6’3″ and 6’5″.

The film offers a unique opportunity for young actors to showcase their talents in a significant project that will be covered by a SAG-AFTRA contract.

• Desi (Black Girl, Age 13-16):
  • Portray a full-figured, kind, shy, and dependable teenager.
  • Bring to life the character’s vivid daydreams and express her boy-crazy energy.
  • Capture the essence of a girl born and raised in North Philly, with a deep connection to her surroundings and personal experiences.
• Lamont (Black Boy, Age 13-16):
  • Portray a sweet, confident, and gangly young man with a genuine charm.
  • Showcase Lamont’s unspoken crush on Desi and his role as a supportive, lovable character in her life.
  • Express the complexities of teenage life in North Philly with authenticity and emotional depth.

  • Ability to convey a range of emotions, from shy and kind to energetic and boy-crazy.

  • Should have a gangly appearance and a charm that makes him endearing.
• General:
  • Must be local to the Philadelphia area.
