A stage production is seeking a Jewish actor to portray an Israeli soldier in an upcoming satirical black comedy drama. The play explores themes surrounding the Israel-Palestine conflict and follows the story of a British Zionist who unexpectedly travels to Palestine in an effort to prove to his former girlfriend that he is not a Zionist.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray the role of an Israeli soldier in a live stage production.
• Attend scheduled rehearsals and performances.
• Collaborate with the director and fellow cast members throughout the rehearsal process.
• Perform scenes involving the use of non-firing prop weaponry.
• Engage professionally with complex and sensitive themes presented in the production.

Requirements

• Jewish actor.
• Male, approximately 30s–40s.
• Comfortable portraying an Israeli soldier.
• Able to work with material related to the Israel-Palestine conflict.
• Comfortable handling non-firing prop weapons on stage.
• Available for all rehearsals and performances.
• Strong stage presence and commitment to live theater performance.

Compensation Details
