Casting Drivers with Period Cars (1960–1981) for Feature Film “Husker”
Job Description:
GWCI is seeking individuals to portray drivers with their own period-appropriate cars (manufactured between 1960 and 1981) for scenes set in 1982 in the upcoming feature film “Husker”. This biopic stars Jeremy Allen White and is based on the life of Bruce Springsteen. Filming will take place in the DE/NJ border area, within the Philadelphia SAG-AFTRA zone. This is a union background role under a SAG-AFTRA collective bargaining agreement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive and/or position your vehicle as instructed during the filming of scenes set in 1982.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure historical accuracy and scene continuity.
- Maintain a professional and punctual presence on set.
Requirements:
- Must own a working period-appropriate car manufactured between 1960 and 1981.
- Available for the filming schedule and capable of working in the DE/NJ border area.
- Compliance with SAG-AFTRA employment provisions (preference will be given to union members).
Compensation Details:
- SAG-AFTRA Background Performer Rate: $216 for 8 hours.
- Car Bumps:
- $500 for vehicles from the 1960s–1970s.
- $400 for vehicles from the 1980s.
