Job Description
Gallery Players is seeking talented actors for a staged reading of Tiger Style! by Mike Lew, a sharp and comedic play about two siblings navigating identity, family expectations, and cultural heritage. This non-union production is part of the Have You Heard? reading series, showcasing thought-provoking and engaging theatrical works. Actors selected will participate in a live staged reading in Brooklyn, New York.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform in a staged reading of Tiger Style! with strong comedic timing
- Participate in rehearsals, table reads, and technical run-throughs
- Collaborate with the director and cast to bring characters to life
- Deliver dynamic and engaging performances for a live audience
- Be prepared to portray multiple roles if required
Requirements
- Prior acting experience in theater, staged readings, or similar productions preferred
- Strong comedic performance skills and stage presence
- Ability to memorize or effectively read scripts with expression and clarity
- Must be available for rehearsals and performances in Brooklyn, New York
- For Asian roles: Native English-speaking actors of Chinese ancestry preferred; East Asian/AAPI actors also considered
- Ability to portray multiple characters (for select roles)

Compensation
