Casting Call – Short Series “GASP”
Job Description
Casting is now open for GASP, a short series centered on Aya, a queer Muslim photographer navigating cultural expectations with the help of her four mischievous friends. This heartfelt and dynamic project will film for one day in New York City and offers a unique opportunity for actors to join a bold and inclusive narrative. While this is an unpaid role, meals, footage, and IMDb credit will be provided.

This minor but impactful character adds conflict and realism to the narrative, which follows Aya, a young queer Muslim photographer navigating identity, friendship, and public life in New York City. Filming will take place June 14–15 in Brooklyn.
Character Description
Perverted Subway Man (Any race): A disturbing presence who becomes involved in an uncomfortable public confrontation on a New York subway. This character is written to highlight social tension and boundary-crossing behavior.
