Casting Queer/Bi Male-Identifying Actor or Dancer for Lead Role in MFA Film
Job Description
A Columbia MFA film is casting the lead role of Kai, a queer or bi male-identifying character in his early to mid-20s. This emotionally complex role explores themes of masculinity, intimacy, and identity. Kai is a sincere young man who leans into masculine norms to mask deeper internal desires. The story follows a unique girl-meets-boy narrative redefined through dance and movement.
Actors with dance or movement backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. The film includes non-nude physical intimacy between male and female-presenting actors and will be choreographed under the guidance of an intimacy coordinator.
