Job Description
A New York-based indie film is now seeking background talent to portray club goers in a vibrant nightlife scene. This is an excellent opportunity for SAG-AFTRA performers to be featured in an upcoming production with high energy and visual impact.

Job Responsibilities

  • Appear as a club patron in selected nightclub scenes

  • Follow on-set direction and maintain continuity between takes

  • Create authentic background ambiance with high energy and professionalism

Requirements

  • Must be a SAG-AFTRA member

  • Must be available for 1–2 days of filming

  • Must submit a recent headshot and professional resume

  • Must be comfortable performing in a dynamic, club-style environment

Compensation

  • Standard union background rates apply per SAG-AFTRA guidelines

Casting Queer/Bi Male-Identifying Actor or Dancer for Lead Role in MFA Film

Job Description
A Columbia MFA film is casting the lead role of Kai, a queer or bi male-identifying character in his early to mid-20s. This emotionally complex role explores themes of masculinity, intimacy, and identity. Kai is a sincere young man who leans into masculine norms to mask deeper internal desires. The story follows a unique girl-meets-boy narrative redefined through dance and movement.

Actors with dance or movement backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. The film includes non-nude physical intimacy between male and female-presenting actors and will be choreographed under the guidance of an intimacy coordinator.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray the lead character, Kai, with emotional depth and physical expression

  • Participate in choreographed, non-nude physical intimacy scenes

  • Collaborate with the director, choreographer, and intimacy coordinator

  • Attend rehearsals and be available for the full shoot schedule

Requirements

  • Queer or bi male-identifying actor or dancer, early to mid-20s

  • Strong movement background or dance experience

  • Comfortable with physical storytelling and partner work

  • Ability to portray layered emotions with authenticity

  • Must be available June 12–15 for filming

Compensation

  • $150/day
