Job Description
A production filming in New Jersey is seeking SAG-AFTRA and non-union background actors ages 18 and older who can convincingly portray younger individuals. This is a great opportunity for aspiring and experienced performers to gain on-set experience while working on a professional production. Transportation from Manhattan may be available if needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray younger characters as background talent in production scenes
- Follow direction from the assistant directors and production team
- Maintain continuity and professionalism throughout filming
- Arrive camera-ready and prepared for scheduled shoot dates
- Participate in various background scenes as needed
Requirements
- Ages 18 and older
- Must be able to convincingly portray a younger age range
- Open to both SAG-AFTRA and non-union performers
- Available to work in New Jersey
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable working on set
- Transportation from Manhattan may be available if needed
Compensation
- SAG-AFTRA rate: $224 for 8 hours
- Non-union rate: $187 for 10 hours
- Overtime paid when applicable

Job Description
A production is casting background actors ages 18 and older to portray younger teens in an outdoor, summer-themed shoot. Filming will take place in Kearny, New Jersey, with scenes designed to reflect a warm, California-style environment. This is a great opportunity for youthful-looking talent to gain on-set experience in a professional production.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray teenage characters in background scenes
- Follow direction from the production team during filming
- Maintain a natural, youthful appearance and energy on camera
- Participate in outdoor scenes styled for warm-weather settings
- Be available for scheduled shoot day
Requirements
- Ages 18+ with a youthful, teen-like appearance
- Comfortable working outdoors in warm-weather wardrobe
- Professional, reliable, and able to take direction
- Based in New Jersey or able to work as a local hire
- Transportation available (or able to use provided transport if applicable)
Compensation
- SAG-AFTRA: $234 for 8 hours (overtime after)
