Casting Black Cowboys and Cowgirls with Advanced Rodeo Skills for Film Project
Job Description
A non-union film project highlighting Black cowboy culture is casting highly skilled cowgirls and cowboys for a visually stunning and culturally rich shoot in Los Angeles. The production is seeking talent ages 16–70 based in Southern California who can perform advanced rodeo tricks and stunts. This is a unique opportunity to showcase authentic cowboy heritage and skill on screen.
The film will explore the artistry, athleticism, and legacy of the Black cowboy community. Talent with performance-ready rodeo tricks is strongly encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform advanced rodeo skills on camera as part of a narrative project
- Execute stunts such as bull riding, trick riding, lassoing, barrel riding, or standing on a galloping horse
- Represent cowboy culture with authenticity and presence
- Be available for multiple shoot dates as scheduled
Requirements
- Black cowgirls and cowboys, ages 16–70
- Must be based in Southern California
- Must have advanced rodeo skills
- Submit current photos, contact information, and a video showing your rodeo ability
- Must be available for shoot dates March 21–23, 2025
Compensation
- Pay ranges from $750 to $1,500 per session
- Additional 20% agency fee based on skill level
