Job Description:

The short film You Have Arrived, written and directed by Dia Frampton, is now casting for pivotal roles. This production is a grantee of the prestigious 2024 Julia S. Gouw Short Film Challenge, presented by CAPE and Janet Yang Productions. The film explores the journey of a mother searching for her missing daughter with the aid of a supernatural voice.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Bring the assigned character to life under the direction of Dia Frampton.
  • Collaborate effectively with the production team to ensure a successful shoot.
  • Commit to 1-3 days of filming in Los Angeles.
  • Follow on-set guidelines and maintain professionalism throughout the production.

Roles Available:

  1. Nylah Han
    • Age: 6-8 years old
    • Ethnicity: Asian or Mixed Asian
    • Gender: Female
    • Requirements: Must be an LA local hire; no out-of-town applicants.
  2. Peter
    • Age: Mid-30s to Mid-40s
    • Ethnicity: Open to all ethnicities
    • Gender: Male
    • Requirements: Must be an LA local hire; no out-of-town applicants.

Requirements:

  • Actors must be based in Los Angeles and available to work locally.
  • Open to non-union actors under the SAG-AFTRA Micro Budget Agreement.
  • Must be able to follow character guidelines as per the script.

Compensation:

  • $200 per day (negotiable based on experience and role requirements).
