Job Description: We are excited to announce a casting call for authentic Jamaican Aunties to feature in a unique culinary video segment titled “Jamaicans Aunties Try Each Other’s Curry Goat.” This is a fantastic opportunity for Jamaican women who are passionate about their cooking and cultural heritage, and who would enjoy the experience of sharing and comparing their special renditions of the classic dish, curry goat.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare your own traditional version of curry goat to bring to the shoot.
- Engage in on-camera discussions about your dish and the cooking process.
- Taste and provide feedback on other participants’ curry goat dishes.
- Participate in filming as directed by the production team, which may include interviews and cooking demonstrations.
Requirements:
- Must be of Jamaican heritage and identify as an “Auntie” within the community.
- Skilled in preparing traditional Jamaican curry goat.
- Comfortable with being on camera and engaging with others on film.
- Able to provide your own transportation to the shoot location in New York, NY.
- Non-Union.
Compensation: $250 for the shoot day.
