Job Description
40 Acres and a Mule Playhouse is seeking talented actors for the upcoming stage production of What a Wonderful Revolution! featuring the story of Susie King Taylor. The play will be performed in Savannah, Georgia, and actors will portray multiple characters throughout the production in this historically inspired theatrical performance.
This is a paid performance opportunity for actors interested in live theater, historical storytelling, and dynamic ensemble work.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform in live stage productions of What a Wonderful Revolution!
- Portray one or multiple characters throughout the production
- Attend scheduled auditions, rehearsals, and performances
- Collaborate with directors and cast members during rehearsals
- Deliver engaging and emotionally authentic stage performances
Requirements
Casting directors are seeking actors for multiple roles, including:
- Black female actors ages 7–45
- Black male actors ages 8–50
- White female actors ages 14–70
- White male actors ages 28–50
Additional Requirements:
- Strong stage acting abilities preferred
- Comfortable performing multiple roles in a theatrical production
- Singing ability may be beneficial for select roles
- Must be available for rehearsals and performances in Savannah, Georgia
- Interested actors must contact production to schedule an audition
