Here is what we will need for background talent for this movie:

Young Adult Casting submissions will be selected by the Producers and Directors since there are so few. We will have a narrowed down link for them next week. If you submitted for Stand In or Photo Double, you can still submit for an extra role.

Can be union or non union. however, it would be at the non union rate below. 18 (must be at least 18 years old) to 25 years old to play a high school student.

Please note in your email if you have an Illinois Residency. Most talent need to be an Illinois resident so they qualify for the tax breaks. They are coming in from LA, but have a mostly Illinois crew.

They DO have a Zone A vaccine mandate. ALL SI, PD and BG must have fully vaccinated proof. In addition, there will be pre-employment covid testing prior to shoot day. They will have a $50 stipend for you on your check. 

Dependable people only to play friends and schoolmates of the actors. All ethnicities and genders. There will be school and party scenes. If you are a female with cheerleading experience, please note that in your email. We will need a few to play cheerleaders.

This should be a lot of fun and a great film!

Shooting is in the city of CHICAGO. Mostly on the north side. Easy for public transportation. If you are driving, of course they will pay for your parking.

They have set up a very efficient payroll company to expedite your payments. Please bring your 2 forms of government ID to set. 

Rate of Pay: the usual $120 for up to 8 hours, plus time and one half overtime for background talent. Plus the $50 stipend for coming in for your PCR covid testing approx. 48 hours prior to filming.

Jigsaw Casting is seeking Male Football Players and a Football Coach for a Cancer Medication Campaign in Toronto!

Looking for the following:

  • Male athletes who have experience in playing football. Ages 20 to 35. Athletic build.
  • In terms of football skills they need to look convincing as big time football players. There likely won’t be extended football action. Probably just a play or two.

Examples of action:

QB throws a TD pass to a Receiver who catches it over a Defender.

*The QB needs to be able to legit throw.

*Receiver needs to be able to run and catch.

*Defender needs to be able to run and look convincing.

WE WILL Not audition the football players. We will book off self tape videos. Talent will need to provide pre existing footage of them playing football.

We are also looking for a football coach. He will not be on camera, he will be booked as an advisor on set. Payment is $1,000 per day. Must be a very experienced football coach to work as a consultant on set.

Football Players – This is a featured extra role. If selected, each athlete will be paid $2,000 inclusive of usage. 

This is a non union campaign. COVID test will be required prior to the shoot. No previous acting experience is required. This is for a prostate cancer treatment campaign.

**Starting Dec 9th, 2021 – the ACCP (association of Canadian Commercial Productions) has mandated that all film crew and Talent over the age of 12 MUST BE fully Vaccinated in order to be on set . Proof of vaccination will be required. Any individual who does not meet this requirement will not be employed. CASTING CALL FOR “I’M JEREMIAH”

“I’m Jeremiah” is a non-union student film from Cleveland State University. The project is produced by Ben Segall and directed by Chan Cunningham. The short film is a musical/drama with a projected running time of 10-12 minutes.

LOGLINE: 

Following the dissolution of his band and fallout with his father, up-and-coming music star Jeremiah Smith finds himself drinking at a small-town tavern. Here, he must reconcile with his past and become the person he wants to be.

BRIEF SYNOPSIS: 

The film starts in a flashback. Jeremiah and his partner/bandmate Mary are waiting in their Green Room. They’ve reached their dream; they’re waiting to go perform at the biggest venue they’ve ever been to. Jeremiah’s mind, however, is focused on something else entirely: his estranged father. In the present, Jeremiah finds himself at a small-town tavern during the day. Here, with the help of the Bartender and some of the midday patrons, Jeremiah looks inside himself for the answers he needs to be the person he wants to be.

LOOKING FOR: 

Big Jimmy: 40-60’s, African American, Male, tall. Jimmy is the absentee, drunk, loud father of the main character. Big Jimmy doesn’t have to sing or dance – just act.

This role will be unpaid, as we are a student production, but a meal the day of will be provided if desired. The call time for Big Jimmy will be Saturday, March 13 at 10am, and they will be able to leave by 2pm if they choose to not have lunch with the rest of the cast and crew. We will be shooting at Highland High School in Granger Township, which is close to Medina.

“INFLUENCER GIRLS” – Seeking females in their 20s, any ethnicity, to play the friends of a day player actor for still photos (think social media pictures). It’s supposed to be an affluent, trendy bar/club type group, very pretty/posh. 

You can send photos of yourself in going out attire, but we’ll also need a current selfie to accompany it. The director is going to ask for a current photo regardless of how great you look in your dressed up pics, so please make sure you don’t omit this in your submission. CURRENT is key.

“GOLD COAST REALTOR” – Seeking a caucasian male, roughly mid 40s (no younger than 38, no older than 52), with a very professional, clean cut business look. The role is a wealthy, attractive, successful Gold Coast real estate developer. You will be playing a dead body, so you must be comfortable laying on the floor for an extended period of time (indoors). You will also have a moderate to significant amount of special effects makeup and blood applied to your person (most likely face, neck, hands) and clothing. 

There will be a day for still photos (driver’s license and candid stills for home decor/set dressing), as well as a wardrobe fitting. Please make sure you have a flexible schedule or can move things around to accommodate the dates we’ll need you.
