Casting Call: Actors for a Short Film

We are excited to announce a casting call for a visually stunning short film set in London. This project celebrates the rich cultural heritage of South West Asia and North Africa (SWANA). We are seeking talented individuals of SWANA heritage who are passionate about storytelling and representation in media.

Roles:

1. Young Girl (Age 5-8): A pivotal role that requires natural charm and the ability to follow simple directions. No previous acting experience required.

2. Two Women (Age 20’s): These roles require women who can portray complex emotions and connect with the audience. Prior acting experience is preferred but not essential.

3. Older Woman (Age 55-80): Looking for a mature, expressive individual who can bring depth and authenticity to the character. Previous acting experience is beneficial.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend scheduled rehearsals and shooting days in London.
• Collaborate with the director and other cast members to bring the script to life.
• Be comfortable with having henna applied as part of the character’s portrayal.
• Follow the direction and guidance of the production team to ensure a cohesive performance.

Requirements:

• Must be of SWANA heritage.
• Based in or able to commute to London for the duration of the project.
• Comfortable performing in front of a camera.
• For the young girl role, parental or guardian consent and supervision on set are mandatory.
• Ability to speak English fluently; proficiency in a SWANA region language is a plus.
