Hearst TV Digital Studios, a national digital video production outlet connected to Hearst Television, has an exciting new opportunity for the right person. The Digital Studios team is responsible for the production of great branded and editorial digital video content across the country. The ideal candidate will ooze creativity, and have the tenacity and wherewithal to execute on their ideas. This client-facing creative will be expected to have the capability to develop, write, produce, and edit videos. Videography/field production experience is a plus, and there is the potential for travel.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the future of digital media, is a tremendous storyteller, and likes to create video content that stands out in a crowd. Strong preference is given to candidates with experience in documentary or short documentary production.

This position will report to the Manager, Branded Content

Job responsibilities

  • Autonomous producers and editor of branded video content, focused on one-video package campaigns and/or small business 4-video deals.
  • Ideates and leads creative calls with sellers and clients.
  • Writes ideas menus and builds outlines
  • Builds shooting schedules
  • Serves as point of content for interviewees and client in field
  • Delivers completed video assets on deadlines
  • Has ability to operate camera and lightning gear on set (drone op a +)
  • Work closely with brands to help them fulfill their goals
  • Manage small productions— locations, set pieces, talent, etc.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience producing excellent videos. Show example links and/or reel
  • The ability to tell a story from a truly compelling and unique point of view. (Written samples welcome as well)
  • A student of the digital video game. (Familiarity of digital video efforts from brands like Complex, Buzzfeed, and Vox, as well as from of legacy publishers is a plus)
  • Experience editing on Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience shooting with a Sony A7s a plus (or similar, like Canon 5D).
  • Basic knowledge of Google Drive and MS Office.
  • Experience in showing results within the confines of brand requirements, client deliverables, and budget limitations.
  • Must exhibit a tenacious, upstart mentality.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to travel for productions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and time management skills. Communication is everything.

  • Bring the brand to life in a highly disruptive and compelling way, creating new, engaging and innovative multi-dimensional creative campaigns each month.

Qualifications:

  • Creative degree required.

  • Design, setup, organize, and document reusable FX rigs for Partner Studio(s)

Our retail client is hiring for a Creative Director (Art) to join their team, full time.

This will be onsite in La Jolla on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the option to work from home on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

This is a very hands-on creative role, you will be giving direction and jumping in on design at times.

What you will be doing:

  • Spearhead and maintain brand guidelines and visual campaigns across all channels (web, digital, print) in line with marketing objectives and creative strategies
  • Execute and oversee direction for lifestyle and studio product photoshoots
  • Development of campaign mood boards, pitch decks, and corporate presentations

Responsibilities:

  • Working and collaborating with all Marketing team leaders, this Creative Producer role will focus on show branding and artwork to be used across all global multi-platform campaigns for original programming.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners, as well as ensuring that work delivers on time, on budget and against brand standards.
  • Produce all facets of show branding and artwork for original programming – from initial kick-off through approval and final delivery.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously and work in partnership with senior creative teams to bring ideas to life and produce premium, high-quality creative.
  • Plan, manage, and communicate internal and external workflows and schedules, ensuring an effective exchange of information and deliverables across all partners.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, and execute across all campaign initiatives and platforms including but not limited to: digital emails, display ads, social posts (including ability to animate), print collateral and packaging for theatre marketing and company-wide collateral.
  • Carry out Visual Design Strategy through Cinemark’s brand identity across multiple media platforms and editorial formats.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and clients to produce sound solutions
  • Be trustworthy and unbelievably reliable as the CD’s second in command.
  • Quickly concept and generate ideas for presentations as well as team meetings/reviews.

Qualifications

  • 5-6 years design experience. We’re looking for the right fit, not the right amount of years.
  • BS/BA in graphic design or related field. Not required, but preferred. Your experience and stand-out portfolio are what we’re most interested in.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital and print design including animation, email marketing, understanding of UX, print production and overall best practices.
  • Extreme proficiency in mac-based Adobe Creative Suite. Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign specifically. After Effects a plus.
  • You like being part of a team and are happy and willing to work in a collaborative environment while putting in the time to create amazing work..
  • Stunning portfolio that showcases a love of design across all platforms.
  • A sharp aesthetic design acumen. You’re obsessed with type, color and composition and how to tell the strongest story through the connection of visuals and messaging.
  • Strong time management and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and presentation capabilities
  • Experience on an in-house Creative Team is a must.
  • Experience working with Brand Guidelines, Creative Briefs and external agencies.
