HBO Max ‘Gossip Girl’ Casting Call

Seeking people to portray Upscale Debutante Ball Guests with their own Formal Wear (Tuxedos for Men, Dresses/Gowns for Women) for work on Season 2 of the HBO Max ‘Gossip Girl’

The scene is a debutante ball.

*ALL DAYS ARE NIGHT SHOOTS!!!* Some will have afternoon call times, some will have evening call times.

Tentative Dates:

  • Filming 4/6, 4/7, 4/8, 4/14, and 4/15
  • Can work any/all dates that you are available. (Some days have smaller numbers than others, so not everyone will be needed ALL dates)
  • COVID Testing is required 1 day before shoot date.

SAG BG Rate: $182/8hrs // NU BG rate: $165/10hrs

Please be advised that to work on Gossip Girl starting March 15, all cast members must be up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccinations as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”).  Being “up-to-date” means a person has received all recommended COVID-19 vaccines, including any booster dose(s) when eligible.  In other words, this means that at least 2 weeks have elapsed since receiving the 2nd dose of Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or since receiving a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine; and when a booster shot is recommended, that the individual has received it prior to March 15, 2022. You must be able to show proof of vaccination status prior to your start date.  All vaccination records will be maintained confidentially and securely by production.

THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL Casting Call

1960s Midwest/Tourist/Character Face Types to portray Studio Audience (NON SAG-AFTRA COVERED) ages 18 and older for background work on the Golden Globe & Emmy Award Winning show THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL. FILMING IN NYC! 

Must be okay working around atmospheric smoke. No wool allergies.  INTERIOR work with 60s wardrobe.  Seeking NON UNION  Women & Men, 20s-70s age range with 1960s Midwest/Tourist/Character Face look[s] to portray a Audience Members for a Late Night TV Show scene.

This background performer role is NOT covered by a SAG-AFTRA CBA.

Wardrobe/Hair/Make Up Requirements:

– Men must be okay getting a 1960s haircut, if needed, and being clean shaven on the shoot date.  

– Men cannot have any visible tattoos that won’t be covered in a suit.

-Women’s hair requirements are as follows: No fashion colors. No wigs. No weaves. No braids. No undercuts. No ombré or unnatural looking highlights. No roots if hair is colored. Hair must be above the shoulders; it CANNOT touch the shoulders. If hair touches shoulders, it will need to be cut by our hair dept. Short hair is great. Any texture is ok. Gray hair on more mature women is great.  

– No Tattoos for women

– Must have full day availability for all the shoot dates, as we don’t get the call times until the day before filming. (COVID tests are typically in the morning.) Tests and fittings are paid and take place in Brooklyn.

VAX POLICY

Consistent with the newly re-negotiated Return to Work Agreement, this production has a mandatory vaccine policy for individuals working in Zone A Cast and Crew, which includes background actors. ALL Zone A must be up to date with their vaccines, including boosters, by March 15, 2022. The Return to Work Agreement stipulates that effective March 15, 2022 only individuals who are “up to date” on their vaccines, as that term is defined by the CDC, shall be considered “fully vaccinated.” Per the CDC, individuals are considered “up to date” on their vaccines if they have received a booster dose at least 5 months after the last dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or a booster dose at least 2 months after the first dose of the J&J/Janssen vaccine. This production may make limited accommodations as required by law for individuals that cannot be vaccinated because they have a disability and/or a sincerely held religious belief.

PAID GIG! – $210/12hrs for each shoot date.  $60 stipend for covid test.

CASTING CALL

What: Spokesperson for Metaverse Tech Company

Where: Brooklyn, New York

When: Sunday or Monday, April 3 – 4

Who: Female, Black or Asian, 20’s – 30’s

Pay: $450

New York City area locals to portray African American 15 months to 2.5 year old boy for Season 2 of THE GILDED AGE. This will be for a still photo that appears in one of the episodes. (Non-SAG Covered)

– We will be doing this photo shoot ONE DAY between April 11th – April 27th in NYC area.

– There will be a required PCR Covid Test for guardian + child 48 hours before each work date as well as fitting, provided by production. (And yes, it HAS to be within 48 hours, you cannot test the day of, as the results are not instant!)

– You will be asked to comply with HBO covid protocols (I.E. wearing masks off camera, social distancing, etc.) Specifics to come upon booking!

– Fittings usually would be around a 2-3hour commitment depending on how your fitting goes

– This will be a Non-SAG-AFTRA covered photo shoot. The rate is = $165/10hours for the work date; $60 stipend for each covid test pre-employment; $30/2hrs fittings)

VACCINATION MEMO: Please be advised that prior to working on The Gilded Age Season 2, all cast members working in Zone A must be up-to-date with your vaccination against COVID-19 (you are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after completing your primary vaccination series and up-to-date if eligible individuals have received a booster). Note that all cast members are considered Zone A. Children belonging to an age group for which the FDA has approved or authorized a COVID-19 vaccine are required to be fully vaccinated, as are all guardians and teachers who will accompany children to a production worksite. This will include a child who becomes eligible for a vaccine during their time working on the production. Currently, COVID-19 vaccination is approved for all children ages five and above. A reasonable grace period (as determined by the production CCO) will be allowed for hired cast members who reach an appropriate vaccination eligible age to receive their full vaccine and share proof of the completed series.

About Your Work Day

Workdays during the season will vary based on the programming schedule and recording needs. The Associate Media Producer can expect to work 5-6 days a week up to 40 hours. The span of day will vary and the position will be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays and possibly some overtime to ensure professional quality capture of all assignments. Breaks are scheduled in accordance with Stated and Federal employment laws. For more detail on the work schedule, please see the “About Your Schedule” section.  

  • Provide a wide range of audio-visual recorded and live production support to CHQ Assembly
  • Create and cultivate branded content for online viewing from on-grounds live events and curated content
  • Maintain high quality and adherence to all standards of brand imprinting on produced content
  • Attend scheduled department meetings
  • Maintain data and information according to Institution data management guidelines and rules
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization to achieve goals
  • Produce weekly show reports and upcoming schedules in conjunction with the Production Assistant
  • Assist with production workflows and workflow elements as necessary to achieve objectives

About Your Schedule

Chautauqua Institution and Chautauqua Hotel Company offer flexible schedules, full and part-time, for seasonal employment during summer operations starting annually each June and concluding in August.  Seasonal employment may be available earlier (pre-season) and beyond season (post-season) based on business needs and candidate availability.  Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as a requirement.

While you will confirm your final schedule with management at the time of an interview and offer of employment, you should generally anticipate the following schedule options for this position:  

This an hourly position of 40 hours per week. The season’s schedule is subject to change dependent on production demands but typically can expect to work 5-6 days per week. 

 About Your Compensation

Compensation for this position starts at $15.00/Hour and, with demonstrated experience and qualifications, candidates may earn up to $20.00/Hour.

About Living on the Grounds

Chautauqua Institution may provide limited housing options on our grounds or assist you with locating nearby housing arrangements for select opportunities based on business needs.  Housing is not an option for many positions and may be of a cost to you.  If the section below is incomplete, candidates should assume that this is no housing associated with this position. 

Shared accommodations may be negotiated as part of the compensation package of employment. Accommodations would be a private bedroom, shared bathroom, shared kitchen and shared living area. A vehicle may required as housing options are mostly off-grounds and typically within a 5 to 10 mile radius of the grounds.
