POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a versatile and highly creative Art Director to join our talented team in producing compelling visual content, innovative graphic designs, high-quality creative concepts, and captivating marketing materials. As an essential member of our creative department, you will play a crucial role in helping develop creative for a diverse range of mediums, projects, and clients – while assisting creative leads and stakeholders in ensuring alignment on brand strategies, overall creative vision, and client needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with the department’s creative leads to ensure work is completed on time, following brand guidelines, and industry best practices. 
  • Provide principled guidance to teammates while continuing to foster a culture of continuous growth, industry best practices, and artistic excellence.
  • Implement high-quality feedback, while contributing to internal review sessions, brainstorms, creative workshops, and design critiques.
  • Continue our department’s core goals of making the most kick-ass concepts as a team and help foster a meaningful collaborative environment amongst your peers. 

Strategic Ideation:

  • Develop and present compelling creative concepts aligned with client goals, target audiences, and project objectives, emphasizing impact across immersive worlds, website platforms, social channels, and video mediums.
  • Translate complex brand messages into visually engaging and memorable content, ensuring resonance across various digital channels.

Project Execution:

  • Work with creative leads to shepherd end-to-end creative, from concept development to final production, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow creatives, project managers, coordinators, as well as stakeholders to ensure seamless execution on concurrent, and often ongoing, multi-media campaigns and projects.

Design Excellence:

  • Contribution to – and understanding of design feedback & creative direction.
  • Interpret and implement stakeholder feedback. Know when to ask questions. Know who to ask questions to. 
  • Uphold brand consistency & integrity across all marketing platforms while maintaining a high level of creativity and attention to detail.

Immersive Technologies and Trends:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, especially in the realms of immersive technologies, metaverse projects, and emerging design tools, integrating these insights into our creative approach.
  • Explore opportunities to incorporate immersive elements into campaigns, enhancing user experiences and pushing the boundaries of creativity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven track record (5+ years) in a creative leadership role within a multi-media agency or similar environment.
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing successful projects across gaming or immersive experiences, website design, social media campaigns, video content, and high-impact sales materials.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite, video editing tools, etc.).

We are looking for an experienced design leader to join, lead, and grow Her Campus Media’s Design Team. We are a multidisciplinary team of graphic designers, illustrators, web designers, and animators that collaborates across the company in a variety of functions including: serving as the in-house creatives behind Her Campus Media’s award-winning marketing campaigns on behalf of our world-class clients; partnering with our editorial & social teams to enhance our storytelling in stunning visual fashion; and collaborating with brand leadership to innovate how we visually engage with our audience and community.   • 7+ years experience in graphic design, including art/design direction experience at an advertising agency, media brand, or similar environment

Salary Range: $100,000-120,000

Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, experience, and other factors.

Marketing is the team that brings the hardware devices to life in the above-the-line space. TV, online video, Social, Real-Life Activations, OOH, and DOOH. They’re a dynamic team whose mission is to fundamentally change how people discover and explore their products globally.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creative development process with internal teams in the following areas: creative resourcing, timeline management, budget management, creative project team management, cross-functional communication, creative strategy, marketing share-outs, legal approvals, and production hand-off to deliver exceptional creative.

JOB SUMMARY: The Creative Director will manage the day to day operations of the creative team. The Creative Director is able to interpret internal business needs and client briefs, translating them into elegant, creative solutions. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Industry Experience: Creative Direction experience (10+ years). Preference will be given to candidates who have experience creatively directing complex solutions for digital products.   • Managerial Experience: (5+ years) Extensive supervisory experience (including leadership, team-building, and delegation) leading and managing a creative team.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
