Casting Call: SAG Stand-In Needed
Job Description: We are urgently seeking a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) member to serve as a stand-in for an African American male actor for a current production shooting at Universal Studios. The ideal candidate will match or come as close as possible to the physical characteristics of the actor, particularly in height and build.
Job Responsibilities:
- Standing in for the actor during lighting setups and camera rehearsals.
- Working closely with the director and cinematography team to ensure the scene is set up accurately for the actor.
- Following direction from the production team to mimic the actor’s posture, position, and movements as needed.
- Being on set and ready to work by the call time of 8:00 AM, and available throughout the day until dismissed by production.
- Maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude on set.
Requirements:
- Must be a current member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
- Must match the physical description: African American male, around 5’7″.
- Must be available today, Wednesday, March 20, for an 8:00 AM call time at Universal Studios.
- Previous experience as a stand-in preferred but not required.
- Must be able to follow directions closely and work well under the pressure of a fast-paced production environment.
- Reliable transportation to Universal Studios.
Compensation:

This casting call is open to African American families or individuals who can form a family unit for the duration of the project. The family structure should ideally comprise 2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 kids aged between 6-15 years. We are open to casting real families or assembling a family from individual submissions.
