A deleted scene from Age of Ultron shows Thor having a quick little drink before going for a swim.
In the scene, Chris Hemsworth’s Norse God and Dr. Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard) are in the Norn Cave, seeking answers about how to defeat Ultron.
“The stone draws you all to its brilliance, and you to your end!” a possessed Thor tells Selvig.
Joss Whedon, the director of Avengers 2, told Empire Film Podcast that the film’s cave scenes were a major argument between him and studio executives. According to Whedeon, notes from the studio had led to the cave footage getting completely cut out from the film until the movie’s editors put their foot down and said that those scenes were needed to be in the final production.
Avengers: Age of Ultron also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and James Spader. The movie made $1.4 billion dollars worldwide and the deleted scene will appear in the Blu-ray and DVD version which will be released on October 2nd.
