Video: Matthew McConaughey Explains the Origins of ‘Alright, Alright, Alright’ and the Story is Amazing

Date:

Matthew McConuaghey’s legendary cry “alright, alright, alright” may have hit epic status after he won the 2014 Oscars for Best Actor.

Since then, the phrase has become a part of his personality and persona.

In 2011, McConaughey had an interview with George Strouboulopoulos, and McConaughey explains how he tapped into the Wooderson character to come up with the improved phrase. The story does not disappoint, nor does the way McConaughey explain it.
