Wyatt Cenac is begging TBS to hire non-white people for his new TV show.
Wyatt Cenac, who’s starring in the upcoming TBS comedy People of Earth, has publicly put pressure on the network to diversity the show’s staff.
The series, which centers on alien abduction survivors in a support group, stars Cenac as Ozzie Graham, “a journalist who is skeptical of the alien-abduction claims at first but comes to suspect that he’s had his own close encounter,” according to Variety.
Conan O’Brien is executive producing the project with several major cast members including Ana Gasteyer and Oscar Nunez from The Office.
TBS officially ordered the series earlier this week, which prompted the following tweet, challenging the show’s producers to diversity the crew.
Really hope @TBSNetwork is committed to hiring diverse and gender balanced people of Earth to help write and produce People of Earth.

Hollywood would definitely benefit from more people being vocal about their hiring practices.
