Rambo TV series is currently in development over at Fox.
Following the release of Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky spin-off, Creed, Fox is creating a TV reboot of Rambo.
Fox is teaming up with Sylvester Stallone to create a potential TV series based on the Rambo movies. According to reports, it is unclear whether Stallone will appear in the drama, which centers around Rambo and his son.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new series will be more of a Rambo family show.
The project explores the relationship between Rambo and his son, J.R., a former Navy SEAL who has never been featured in any of the Rambo movies. Rambo would be a central character in the potential series, a change from CBS’ one-time Beverly Hills Cop reboot that centered on Axel Foley’s son, with star Eddie Murphy only attached for infrequent appearances.
This is the fifth installment in the Rambo film franchise, Rambo: Last Blood, was put on hold indefinitely. For Fox, Rambo reveal marks the second series with Stallone as Fox is producing a TV series based on the Expendables franchise.
This is just the latest movie turned TV show in the last few years. Taken, Lethal Weapon, Behind Enemy Lines, Training Day, and My Best Friend’s Wedding.
