Academy Award-winning Actor Jared Leto is returning to the Franchise as he stars in Joachim Rønning’s highly anticipated sequel ‘Tron 3’!

Acclaimed actor Jared Leto will take center stage in the upcoming Disney live-action movie Tron: Ares, the thrilling third installment of the franchise that began with 1982’s classic film Tron and continued a decade later with 2010’s Legacy.

In 2010, Tron: Ares was first declared but faced many obstacles hindering its production. It wasn’t until 2017 that Leto was solidified to portray the character “Ares,” and just this past month, Joachim Rønning took up as director after Garth Davis departed from the project.
Leto is set to co-produce Tron: Ares in collaboration with Justin Springer, Jeffrey Silver, and Emma Ludbrook. Jesse Wigutow penned the movie’s script.
Norwegian director Rønning has steadily developed a rapport with Disney for several years. His most recent contributions include helming 2019’s Maleficent sequel and 2017’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales for the world-renowned studio.
