‘The Office’ spinoff movie is coming soon to theaters everywhere.
According to reports, Ricky Gervais’ ‘The Office’ spinoff comedy just got financing from Entertainment One and BBC Film.
‘Life on the Roard’ will be directed, written by and star Ricky Gervais. It will center on a documentary crew catching up with Gervais’ David Brent character – former star of the series ‘The Office’ and now working as a traveling salesman – as he chases his dream of becoming a rock star by self-financing a U.K. tour with his band ‘Forgone Conclusion’.
“I’m so excited that the world will see what David Brent is up to now and where his future lies,” Gervais said. “This film delves much more into his private life than ‘The Office’ ever did and we really get to peel back the layers of this extraordinary, ordinary man.”
