Pedro Pascal, star of ‘Mandalorian,’ isn’t shy to admit he would love to see Nicolas Cage joining him in the ‘Star Wars‘ universe.
There’s no doubt when it comes to the most fantastic buddy comedy of 2022. That would be The Unbearable Weight of Huge Ability, in which Nicolas Cage played himself opposite Pedro Pascal as a billionaire fan who bonded over screenwriting, LSD, and Paddington 2.

The brilliant on-screen chemistry between Cage and Pascal is what we love to see, so we’re hoping they’ll work together again in the future – maybe even in the Star Wars universe. After all, Pascal deserves a place among the greats as Din Djarin on Disney+’s massively successful streaming show, The Mandalorian.
“I already suggested [it]. I already said he would make a great Mandalorian,” Pascal told us at Disney’s D23 Expo in Anaheim (watch above).
“But would he wear a helmet or not?” asked the show’s executive producer Rick Famuyiwa.
“He’ll wear a helmet,” Pascal said assuredly. “Absolutely… Or he could be one of the helmet-less.”
The series adds more Mandos, as shown by the first trailer released this weekend at D23.
“There are a lot more Mandalorians, and with that many Mandalorians in the room, things are bound to go wrong,” says Katee Sackhoff, who returns as Bo-Katan Kryze. “I think this season is different. … I do believe that this season is a little faster-paced. And that tonally, it’s like a moving train. You just gotta get on.”
Adds Famuyiwa: “It both expands upon the idea of Mandalorians and the culture of Mandalorians, but as the storytelling starts to evolve, we have characters that have been introduced in Mandalorian like Ahsoka [Rosario Dawson] that are now part of the bigger storytelling going on in Star Wars.
“We’re bringing together a lot of characters from [the Star Wars universe], so we got a lot to say in Star Wars, and we’re gonna keep saying it.”
Jen Kucsak produced this video, and Jason Fitzpatrick edited it.
The third season of The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ in February 2023.
