Get ready for a good scream, folks! Netflix, known for its impressive lineup of horror films, is soon to release another. This one is called ‘Don’t Move’ and is directed by movie gurus Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, produced by Sam Raimi, and features Yellowstone cast member Kelsey Asbille.

Yet, there’s a twist! We’re not talking about that ‘Don’t Move’. The Hollywood Reporter revealed that there’s another thriller by the same name making its way to our screens. This version stars Lyndsy Fonseca – yes, that’s right – the same actress who stole the limelight in Hot Tub Time Machine.

The Plot and Production

This other ‘Don’t Move’ is based on the popular 2020 novel authored by Darren Wearmouth and James Murray. You might be clueless about who Murray is if you don’t watch comedy shows. He’s one of the funny guys from Impractical Jokers!

The shooting of the film concluded in Kansas City just last Friday. Maclain Nelson, the person behind successful projects like Vamp U, directed the film while also co-writing the screenplay with Wearmouth and Murray.

The story of ‘Don’t Move’ revolves around a character named Megan Forrester, played by Fonseca. Following a family tragedy, Megan joins her church group on a camping trip. However, the group’s venture goes awry when they find themselves stranded in a part of the woods prowled by a deadly predator.

A Stellar Cast and Cameos

The cast of ‘Don’t Move’ is oozing with talent. Music sensation Russ, Tom Cavanagh of The Flash fame, Hunter King of Life in Pieces, Rob Riggle, best recognised for The Hangover, and Joseph Lee Anderson from Young Rock series are all part of this thrilling project.

We also have some exciting cameos to look forward to. Topping the list are music heartthrob T-Pain, actor Matt Biedel, along with Murray and his Impractical Jokers mate Brian Quinn.

Whipping Up Some Excitement for ‘Don’t Move’

The creators of ‘Don’t Move’ seem quite excited about the project. Murray, hailed for his comedic skills on Impractical Jokers, is pumped about bringing his novel to life. He humorously hinted that creating horror wasn’t such a stretch for him, given the pranks he gets subjected to on the comedy show.

Director Nelson can’t contain his excitement either. He’s thrilled to be crafting a ‘true horror film’. He’s all praise for the cast and claims the story will not only break but ‘rip’ viewers’ hearts out. He’s also honored to have been entrusted with the script adaptation and direction of Murray’s first narrative feature film.

The production of ‘Don’t Move’ marks the debut of Murray’s new banner, Impractical Studios. The making of the film was overseen by producer David M. Wulf while Jeremy Starline, Gina James, Lou Magrone, Rich Osiashvili, and Brian Schell served as executive producers.

So, are you excited to see how James Murray of Impractical Jokers fares in the horror genre? Have you read the spine-chilling novel this film is based on? Well, do let us know your thoughts on ‘Don’t Move’. We’d love to hear them!
